Delaying that first bath

P2B recommends delaying that first bath for at least 24 hours, preferably 48 hours or even longer if possible to all of my parents

…. “the researchers found delaying the bath from two hours (the previous standard) to at least 12 hours increased how many mums exclusively breastfed their babies and went home planning to do so. They also saw the baby’s body temperature remained more stable by delaying the bath .” In addition delaying the first bath reduces the risks with hypoglycemia.
