Bassinet v's cot

Many parents buy a bassinet thinking that is where their baby “should” be sleeping for the first few months.

If your baby’s cot can fit in your room P2B recommends to sleep your baby in their cot. Yes, from day 1!

Save your money! They aren’t too small for the cot.

When it comes time to transition your baby into their own room it will be easy. The room doesn’t matter as their direct sleep environment is the same = the cot.

Remember too, your baby has been upside down in the fetal position for months before birth – so sleeping on their back is foreign. It takes time to learn this skill. Your baby doesn’t hate their cot or bassinet or pram or their tummy.

It’s just all new – like parenthood is to you. It takes time.
