Finding Support in the Season of Motherhood
Inside the Feel Good Prenatal and Postnatal Groups
Motherhood is beautiful. But let’s be honest—it’s also messy, overwhelming, emotional, and full of moments that can leave you feeling isolated or unsure. Whether you’re growing a little life inside you or navigating the unpredictable rhythm of life with a newborn, there’s one thing we know for certain: you shouldn’t have to do it alone.
At The Feel Good Psychologist, we believe every woman deserves to feel seen, heard, and supported during pregnancy and postpartum. That’s why we’ve created two unique group programs—the Feel Good Prenatal Group and the Feel Good Postnatal Group—designed to hold space for the emotional, mental, and psychological shifts of this life-changing time.
A Place to Really Feel Good
These groups aren’t about perfection. They’re about connection. They’re about support. They’re about learning how to care for your emotional well-being in the most vulnerable seasons of life.
Founder and psychologist Stephanie Alexander—also a mum herself—knows firsthand how much value there is in a space that’s free of judgment and full of genuine warmth. With her background in evidence-based therapy, combined with real-life experience of motherhood, she’s created programs that gently guide women toward stronger mental health, deeper self-understanding, and a sense of shared belonging.
The Feel Good Prenatal Group: Connection During Pregnancy
Pregnancy can stir up a whirlwind of emotions—joy, fear, excitement, uncertainty, and everything in between. The Feel Good Prenatal Group offers a supportive and inviting environment for pregnant women through all stages of their pregnancy journey.
Each 90-minute session is structured to offer:
- A gentle well-being check-in
- Thoughtful psychoeducation around key emotional themes
- A practical psychological tool you can take away and use in everyday life
- Facilitated discussions that deepen understanding and strengthen bonds
This group aims to create a sense of comfort and relatability. It’s more than just a group—it’s the beginning of your very own mother’s circle.
The Feel Good Postnatal Group: Support in the Fourth Trimester (and Beyond)
The newborn phase is raw, beautiful, and exhausting. Whether you’re navigating sleepless nights, identity shifts, or waves of postnatal anxiety or low mood, the Feel Good Postnatal Group offers a safe space to process the changes—and start to feel more like you again.
Over ten weeks, this group walks alongside you as you adjust to motherhood. You’ll connect with other new mums, share your story (only if you feel ready), and gain access to real tools that support mental health and emotional regulation. It’s the kind of support we wish every mother received—but often don’t know where to find.
What Makes These Groups Different?
These groups are warm, nurturing spaces designed with care and intention. They’re grounded in psychological knowledge but feel more like a conversation among trusted peers than a formal session. Led by a registered psychologist, each group offers:
- Real support in a relaxed and welcoming environment
- Evidence-based tools that are simple, relevant, and easy to integrate into daily life
- Genuine connection with other women walking similar paths
Because while no two motherhood journeys are the same, the need for support, kindness, and space to be your whole self is universal.
A Judgement-Free Zone for Your Whole Self
It’s okay to not love every moment. It’s okay to feel unsure. It’s okay to need help. The Feel Good Groups are built on one guiding belief: that when women are supported, they thrive—and so do their families. If you’re pregnant or newly postnatal and are longing for a place to talk, learn, and just be, these groups are here to welcome you with open arms.
Small Group Sizes
Our Prenatal and Postnatal groups run multiple times a year on the Gold Coast, and spots are limited to keep the experience personal and intimate. If you’re ready to feel more connected, more grounded, and more like yourself again—this could be the space for you.
