Many families are unaware of the local Child Health Clinics available to them in their local area. I recommend attending these clinics to all of my families for continual postpartum support for all things parenting.

What is Child Health?

Child and Family Health Service works in partnership with families to support the health, development and wellbeing of children from birth to school age. They work alongside families to build strong, positive relationships and help them feel confident, connected and supported.

Child Health services are provided free of charge and may be delivered in the family home, community child health clinics, local early years centres, or via telehealth where appropriate.

Their experienced team of child and family health nurses, social workers and psychologists work alongside families to provide evidence-based support tailored to their individual needs. They collaborate closely with healthcare providers, early childhood services and community organisations to achieve the best possible outcomes for children and families.

If you or your child identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander, you also have the option of connecting with our First Nations service, Waijungbah Jarjums; committed to providing culturally safe, high-quality care and work closely with Waijungbah Jarjums to support children and families.
